12 Feb Ziggy having a bad day
Sunday night Ziggy did not come home. Normally all cats come home for their dinner and then have to stay in over night. This prevents them from hunting all the native New Zealand birds and also keep themselves safe.
The next Monday morning there was still no sign of her. Eventually she came home later in the morning and was full of blood, was limping and had quite apparently dislocated bones. So glad she actually made it back home.
The family took her to our trusty vets, Vets North in Kumeu where she was patched back together in a few hours of surgery.
She stayed at the vet overnight and is now very happy back at home, purring and being very grateful. She will have to stay isolated and inside for a week now.
The vet believes a car may have hit her, she had a broken bone and dislocated bone with heavy bruising. Poor thing has hopefully learnt not to play with traffic.
Welcome back home Ziggy Stardust.
