After a long time of thinking, designing and making I've finally finished and installed our new Pukeatua letterbox...

I have been listening to that cow in distress now since yesterday afternoon, all night through and had a walk down the valley this morning to make sure it wasn't ours....

Spring is back again and so is the beautiful weather and sunshine.

That also means work outside can continue.

The spring grass has grown, the alpacas and cows are happy!...

Every year our daughter's school holds an agricultural day, where the children have to raise a farm animal and show it at school. Jolan has created a video diary about her calf Cheeky. I think she's done an awesome job with her idea, have a look and enjoy .

After we cut all the dead privets off along the boundary fence last Monday, we thought that we could as well burn it as it was dry and there was hardly any wind on that day. The kids concluded that we could then have a bonfire, have marshmallows and invite some friends. Said and done.
